MDNA Tour

Let me share my experience with MDNA Tour concert at Carlsberg stadium. Pitch of Home team. Kobenhavn DK.

Tickets were purchased online 5-6 weeks prior the event. It is not possible to choose the seat number. From the stadium's plan on the webpage it looked promising. However that was the picture from the seat. C10, Row 18, Seat 140. In this particular Section seat that are between 135 and further should be avoided. Because of that ugly support. Project Manager of that should be hanging there.

Planned entry time was 18:00 and concert had to start at 20:00.
Gates opened shortly before 19:00 and the real show, for which people have come started at 22:10.

Warm-Up was delegated to local DJ Solveig.
Access to the network via 3G was not possible due to enormous amount of people with smart phones.

Warm-up was ok. Carlsberg sold more beer. People became happier.

There was 30-40 minutes brake between singing DJ and performer everybody was waiting for.

The erected stage was sophisticated with moving platforms, huge background and close-up screens.
Sound was loud and clear, with blowing basses. Crowd was noiseless and couldn't be heard in that case.

There were also other reasons when the crowd wasn't producing any sound. It's impossible to sing or dance along the songs that you are listening to for the first time.

The other issue was that the tone, script and atmosphere was unexpected to many minors.

Madonna played a role of a Sinner and ruthless fallen daughter of God.

Lot's of scenes where accompanied by loud blows of guns, splashes of blood on the screen, screamed non-vocabulary lexicon.

The spectators were more excited when they heard familiar lyrics, even in new form.

Almost 2 hours show, where 53-year old(in 6 weeks 54) Madonna sang, danced like teen, played guitar and did a lot of crazy staff, ended with well-known hit "Like a Prayer", followed by closing curtains song.

That was the moment when people, when people started to dance and paid respect to the epic show.

720dkk paid the emotion charge. Although backtracking and knowing the arrangement of stage and stadium design, I would gladly spent more to be in the very close to stage Fan Zone.

P.S. Smart phones should be banned as people miss the real show staring at ridiculously small screens and blocking the view to fellow human beings.
