So why golf is ranked as sport?
Pure commercial move.
The word sport carries "activity" and "health". It encourages people with money to invest in expensive Clubs and equipment.
Then it is a good excuse for Your family that You go out for "sport".
Golf is "cool". But many non-proffesional matches are arranged for chatting and business meetings.
Several guys are following the ball they throw to themselves, in the park.
But it is a nice thing to show on TV. The scenery is beautiful. Perfect chance for in-game commercials.
Some golfers are preparing their shoot for eternity. I think that they are like models, instructed to present clothes they wear.
I just do not understand why the prizes for those Championships are so ridiculusly high. Basically the guys could not succed in other sport, so they became golfers.
Some say it is precision in their hands.
So, then. Become a surgeon and save lives. Or be a jeweller. Be helpful to society with those hands.
There are many proffesions that require good hands. But those hands must be able to do different motions. Not only one swinging move.
