I am alongside Japan

The country that brought PlayStation in homes of millions.
The land that shares the same nuclear tragedy as Ukraine.
Maybe it is not the best time, but I am here.
The port may seem very similar to any other port. But there are small details which give sense that You are in a nice place.
Everything is so clean and tidy. The markings on the ground are bright and clear to read. Though I do understand nothing.
People are very polite and know manners. Simple greeting gives impression that person respects You.
As far as I can tell, Japanese people approach their task with extreme caution.
The work is done properly. The large number of guys makes workplace safe, without making it overcrowded. Everyone performs as instructed.
Personal Protective Equipment is on every person and in good condition. Some things I did not expect to see on stevedore.
I haven't seen by myself, but I do not think anyone can deny that Japan is centuries ahead in technology they are using.
I just wonder. How do they live in such place and stay as a Nation? Or is it the only way to survive as an individual?
The weather is bad. It has been raining for several days. Or there was a fog. And visibility was less than 100m.
The landscape doesn't make any favor for building shelters. Lots of rocky islands. And it frequently shakes from earthquakes. But those candles are standing still.
I believe the word "tsunami" came from Japan. Those killing waves washed away a lot...
It is the Spirit, I think. From ancestors. I saw movies. And I believe some of them were based on true events. And those heroes from motion pictures walked with honor here so many many years ago.
One Pilot told me that because of Fukushima disaster, prices on Sushi sets dropped to attract tourists and convince them to neglect the news about radiation. And locals like new low price.
He does not care that mass media is trying to skyrocket and gain more audience from breaking news. He is sure that his own people will not lie to him on true situation. He knows that state of reactor is bad. But he is also informed on severity of his health and life threat.
But I will pass on tasting sushi here. Maybe some other day. I definetely want to visit Japan properly.

So many things are going on. But workload and busy ports are keeping me from writing more.
