Mortal Kombat Pre-9
My experience with Mortal Kombat began with MK2. There were several arcade like machines, which were basically TV screens inserted in to cabinets and connected to SEGA Genesis consoles. They were always occupied and joysticks were hot from button mashing. That game was unbelievable. Real looking fighters. Insane Finishes. Blood. You haven't seen that in games. I played few times in that place, but later my friends and I gathered to play on our own consoles. We knew all special moves and Fatalities by heart. And because I've played MK2 before original MK I saw no point in spending to much time with first installment. The difference between fighters in both MK were more mostly visuals. Basic moves were the same. And each character had two or three special moves. That changed in MK3 a lot. Run button and combos made the game faster and my favourite in the series before MK9 came out. Then UMK3 came out. I played it as well, but the roster became to big. I prefered playing with old...
